CHURCH NOTICE - 26TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - 01.10.2023

1. Today there is second collection for the seminary fund.

2. Today there is a joint meeting of the Parish Council and Catholic Association soon after the 9.00 am mass in Maria Bhawan Basement.

3. We have a class for children who are going to receive the First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:00 pm in Maria Bhawan's basement. Parents, please encourage your children to attend these classes.

4. All those who have not registered in the parish kindly do so and also update your church support fund regularly.

5. We request all the catechism children to come for 9.00 am English mass and thereafter attend catechism classes at St. Columba’s school. Parents kindly encourage your children to attend these classes regularly.

6. Those who would like to sponsor refreshments for the catechism children may kindly contact the Parish Help Desk.

7. The month of October is dedicated to the Rosary, we kindly request all SCC/BEC coordinators to organize Rosary in your respective units and collect the statue of Our Lady for your unit. We will also have the Rosary in front of the grotto at 6:15 pm.

8. On 15th October we will be organizing a seminar on Career counseling at CJM Junior School Hall, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. We request children from class 10 to 12 and all youth to participate in it.

9. This is to let you know that Deacon Rajan Sandhu who served as Regent in our parish will be ordained on 5th October at his home parish. He will be celebrating his first mass at the cathedral on 29th October.

10. There is an inner – healing retreat in English, from 30th September to 2nd October at Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, Burari. For further details kindly refer the parish notice board.

11. Youth united for Christ is hosting National Youth Residential Convention, entitled “Move the Mountain” from 11th November to 13th November. For further details kindly refer the parish notice board.

12. Next Sunday (08-10-23) will be celebrated as Vincent De Paul Sunday.

13. Today, as we celebrate Bible Sunday, let us pray that we may develop a deep love for the Word of God and become not just hearers of the Word but also doers.

14. Marriage Banns: Philomeen Vadlapati D/o Mr. Devadanam Victor Vadlapati and Mrs. Dalphina Victor Vadlapati Residing at Egypt Embassy, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, from our parish intends to marry George Christopher S/o Mr. Christopher Stephen and Mrs. Sunita Christopher residing at Dehradun, Uttrakhand. If you are aware of any impediment either civil or canonical to the foresaid marriage, kindly bring it to the notice of the Parish Priest.
